Vinnie
Hello. I'm trying to resurrect some models from the shelf of doom. Some decals will need removing but they are under a layer of varnish. Any ideas, please?
stevehnz
Sellotape (or similar) is what I use, although I only paint with enamels & so lifting is not a problem, acrylics may be a different story. Steve.

lesthegringo
If you have Gunze's Mr Mark Softer, you can use that. I had a Tamiya Spitfire built eight or so years ago where the roundels had discoloured (original Tamiya decals) and wanted to replace them with fresh ones, and all I had to do was just soak the decal with the Mr Mark softer, and gently rubbed it with a medium paint brush until all of it softened and fell away. No paint damage at all, and once washed with dish soap and water afterwards you would never had known it had been there. Cheers Les
