stevej60
Hi folk's, don't get exited not for me Airfix's latest masterpiece but Pegasus hobbies easy kit but before you hit the off button it;s surprising how nice these kit's can look with a bit of care, http://216.187.79.26/2009/reviews/kits/p51bpegasusreviewbs_1.htm And how inspirational can their story be it's just a pity Spielberg didn't do the movie! https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tuskegee_Airmen One for later in the GB.
Corsairfoxfouruncle
If I had a spare mustang in the stash I would have gone red-tails myself.

GREG DESTEC
Great choice Steve, I do prefer the B over the D Mustangs. I will be interested to see how the Pegasus kit goes together 👀

stevej60
Evening folk's the kit arrived today in a strange sparkly gray shiney plastic but nice recessed lines so should look good with a nice paint job.

stevej60
Evening folk's,as you know the idea of these kit's is a quick build aimed at the novice so I'm not veering of course with anything else so paint slapped on the interior,a dry brush and tape belts will do. no glue needed but for a better finish I did run it along the seams, theres a satisfactory "click" as the pins lock into place leaving to dry for a day or two,
DaveyGair
Looks to have a good interior for 'beginners' kit!. I wish all kits were like this, minimal assembly, quick to finish but looks 'the part'! Davey

I found myself wondering the other day, is there a cover-all-bases aftermarket harness bit you can buy? I don't go overboard on cockpit detail, but spend too much time knocking up tiny seatbelts out of Tamiya tape.
stevej60
Evening folk's while I had the airbrush out I primed in a pot of blue mixed for another build, then a few coats of Tamiya chrome silver.
