Scroll down to its serial number. http://www.eagleaviation.nl/Soesterberg 32nd TFS F-100 serial review.htm Here's an accident report and photo of her sister ship, 54-1984, that shows the full bands on the fin. https://aviation-safety.net/wikibase/wiki.php?id=170951 Mike In the lower there is an excellent photo. The two triangles have the names of the pilot and the crew chief. And the tail bands do not start from the leading edge! Edited September 18, 2020 by Tomppa B Added text. Mike Quite right. A further clue are the two short black looking, in reality red, on the forward extension of the fin.
Starfighter
This is an F- 100C of the 32nd. TFS, 36th. TFW. This squadron was based at Soesterburg in the Netherlands and the tail bands were green with white trim. Like the other a/c of the 36th. the bands finish short of the fin leading edge ( maybe to avoid it wearing away in the slipstream ? ) HYH
