Lovely trashing going on Kev, I think another stunner once finished, that mountain in the background is going to take up some room on the diorama though.

I've got it covered, all the scrap plastic should do the trick

Remind me not to buy a second hand boat from you.......

At least in the MN we would use a cement box and paint over it :rofl2:

Thanks for the support guys

The race is on..........................

Who will get to to Martian the Sensible first....

The officials from the home planet pound

Or the men in white coats from the Government

You're safe from out lot, they'll loose your  address

In answer to your question I'll be up as soon as the numpties are all gone

I'll whip the maintenance crew into action then. It would be quicker and easier to eradicate seagulls Come to think of it Avocet is supposed to be white upperworks with a black hull, not a panoply of rust colours.

OK I think I've finished hacking holes in the hull and here are the results

P1110420

P1110419

P1110418

New hatch. I say new, actually a lid ontop of Airfix blob

P1110417

Even the inside has been worked over

P1110416

P1110415

I reckon it's time to RUST :bounce:

Who would have thought it would take so much effort to make holes

Avoid the numpties and stay safe

I had a '59 Austin Cambridge that looked like that after a few Canadian winters.

A BMC car that rusted surely not John. Perhaps I could do a two year old Mini next....

Thanks Mate. Do you want me to put what I do on step by step. At least you'll know what to avoid

We have the same strict storage principle on our work surface, Kev, I love it!

You caught me! I'm definitely not the tidiest of workers. Normally have a clean up when I can't find something ...... when I find it it's normally right under my nose

My idea is for the government to lock us at risk people on a nice warm island. Then the rest can get on with whatever they like.....

Following this avidly, can't wait to see the "rustin", I think you may have discovered the "oil canning" holy grail, it looks very effective and if you don't mind, might well find its way onto my Victorious, obviously without the holes and rust  !

Keep it coming !

Good to be able to help on your mighty model. You will need to experiment on some scrap first. The key I found is to find appropriate sized dome tools to form the depressions.

I promised I'd show the Deluxe materials Scenic Rust in the raw

P1110428

P1110427

P1110430

P1110429

As you can see it provides a nice texture but it's not a one-stop shop
