Old Man
Hope this is the right place to ask. Roden makes a Vauxhall 1916 staff car, in 1/72. Would this be a suitable item for an RAF airfield diorama set in Iraq in the early twenties?
Kingsman
I'm not sure anyone could say it would not be appropriate. That model was in production until 1922 and about 1,500 were supplied to the War Office. The fledgling RAF would have inherited a lot of WO kit from RFC.
Old Man
Excellent, Sir. I shall have to get the kit. The diorama idea is a mash-up of two pictures. One showed soldiers lined up boarding one of the bomber-transport types, the other was of an auto pulled up beside a Vernon's nose, with someone in it standing to reach something up to the pilot. I have one of those old 'Vimy Commercial' Maquette kits. Edited September 17, 2020 by Old Man
