Lotus XI, Merit, 1/24

This started as a barn-find spare, kindly donated by our own @Brandy to the cause of displaying Classic British Kits for the CBK SIG:

Some months later, thanks to various life events, and she's now rather shinier, and ready to race:

Next up, but not for a while, the Aston Martin DB3S, this time from an unbuilt kit...

Lovely job! It's always nice to see something restored to it's "former glory" Although in this case the barn find didn't have too much glory, it's great to see what can be done with such a basic kit with a little extra effort.

As others have said, it's always great to see an old model restored to past glories, and you've done good work with this one. Nice one. I'm not generally convinced by figures in car builds, but in this one I think the driver really makes the build and brings it to life.

Very, very nice Matt.  As you said, ready for the start line.

(Edit - A car like that with a tidly 1100cc engine with no fancy VVTi or programmable fuel injection technologies?  Driven to a class record of 143mph (!) by the late, great Sir Stirling Moss.  Wow.)
