CasualModel98
Managed to get my hands on a really really old kit. This kit is over 30 years old. All the parts are still there and the decals still work but has some issues like silvering. As per kits that old, parts are a rough and not very detailed. Had to spend a lot of time sanding join lines and filling in gaps. Printed decals for the cockpit but realized that the cockpits will mostly be closed anyway, oh well. CasualModel98
Decided to paint it in different shades of chrome and silver, with the nice red trimming. Edited September 16, 2020 by CasualModel98
CasualModel98
Decided to call it done. Forgot to glue that sharp thingy on the nose before I took photos but anyways,... CasualModel98
Decided to glue in all the nuclear bombs alongside the huge weapons pod. Whats an aircraft without nuclear bombs anyway? Nothwithstanding this is a Trainer Bomber! Edited September 16, 2020 by CasualModel98
CasualModel98
The decals are 30 years old, can;t seem to get rid of the silvering... And some of the canopy does not fit well. Edited September 16, 2020 by CasualModel98

Properjob56
Stunning. The amount of hours that must have gone into that.
SAT69
Excellent build. In some ways, I think the Italeri 1/72 kit is more accurate than the Monogram 1/48 kit.
Mark Joyce
Very nice build, and I like the look of the variations you achieved with the NMF. I'm not noticing the silvering with the decals in your photos, so it must not be too bad. It's definitely a looker! Cheers, Mark
RupertTheBear
That's one fine looking Hustler! Details look quite alright for such an old kit, surprised it's got recessed panel lines.

kapam
Wow, that is awesome! I have a friend who is a particular fan of this plane's appearance (like a delta-wing with "added steroids", so-to-speak). Aptly described IMHO, although I was unaware of the "Boomerang" sobriquet. Your NMF is superb. 😮😎

Cheers Hans J Underlying base was AV Air Chrome. Then different layers of AK Polished Aluminium. To get the shades I mixed the AK with Alclad Iron which is darker. Thanks everyone for your encouraging words.
Sky Keg
Beyond impressive. Simply beautiful. The extra effort to recreating a masterpiece does not go un-noticed. Mike
