More weathering up of the lower hull, after this will be some mud splatters.

Track guards get some, these will get fitter after I get the tracks weathered up.

Some spent brass from the 0.50, link yet to be added.

So long as the M10 crew get the first shot in; and they hit it.

Presumably the M10 would be laid up in ambush behind a hedgerow or farm building in rural Normandy ?

I think I've run out of superlatives though Dan .......

Unfortunately, it was often the other way round. The allies were attacking a skilled and determined defence.

Thank you all for the great feedback on the build so far, needless to say that i'm pretty chuffed

with the build so far ;)

Some little details going on now and the last few parts, Headlight lens need fitting, tow cable and the track guards, before I do those bits

I'm going to add the link from the .50. Using the Live Resin set just to add a few.

I read an account of a Sherman backing up behind a farm building in Holland after a near miss from an 88.

The second 88 came through several walls of the farmhouse and knocked the Sherman out. Fortunately it hit low down on the rear hull side and everyone got out.

Can't recall where I read it now, or the exact details but this is the gist of it.

Probably the moral of the story is "avoid 88s".

One more detail to add ... The "Combat Bucket " No self respecting crew should ever be without one!

From Plus Model and all soldered up, this will hang off the back. Just had a soak in white vinegar to remove the flux.

I found a plan for a 1/72 bucket but haven't made one yet. Like you say, every crew should have one. At least they're easily added as an extra to finished AFVs if ever I get around to making one.
