exdraken
Eduard BOZ pod: and the other stores not decided on Sidewinders as of yet.... Revell ones are not an option of course...
Christer A
Have you noticed that the Eduard BOZ pod is a bit shorter than Revell's plastic one?

BOZ-EC? BOZ-103?, BOZ-107?..... what I can provide you with is my BOZ pod arsenal in 48th.... from top:, ruler of course in mm Revell flightpath Eduard Brassin compare the Eduard one with an Italeri (F.3)= BOZ pod I do not even know were to align it....as there is a ~3mm long cylindrical bit missing (lower left corner) or with the Revell one: roughly the same size.... but totally differnt lengh of the front cone.... (I read at ebay , (you can buy half a Tornado there it seems..! ) that it should be 1,5m in length, the Revell one has ~34mm... ....) or the Airfix (also F.3 provenicence) but eihter missing the rear end, or not including one... can't tell anymore make up your mind imho Eduard looks best detail wise, , Revell and Italeri look way different shapewise. but similar detail wise.. Airfix could also be somthing else.... those are definitely not the same thing: http://www.loneflyer.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/boz-3.jpg https://www.manfred-bischoff.de/images/BOZ-100_CFD.jpg
Christer A
Tom make things more confusing, Eduard claims that the resin pod is a BOZ EC, but according to SAAB who makes them in real life they look like this A totally different beast! Christer A
I think Luftwaffe uses the Saab BOZ-EC (Enhanced capabilities pod) https://www.saab.com/products/countermeasure-dispensing-systems RAF GR4 surely used the TERMA pod but they look a bit different, compare the rear end. TERMA has 2 detectors there BOZ-EC has 4. In any case, Eduard:s pod is not TERMA nor BOZ-EC

It's like they are making things confusing on purpose! Dang, those Sidewinders look great, and good luck with the belt application.

exdraken
painting process has startet! I used Revell 361 for this Norm 83B? scheme this paint (charge?) is rather sticky..... strange and bad to spray.... color (in reality, not those quick and bad photos) look rather great! , this should be FS34079 https://ak-interactive.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/RCS064acryliclacquerset.jpg
Christer A
Oh yes, the painting has started! From the photos I cannot tell if it's too sticky or not, but here's hoping that it turns out ok in the end.

Colin W
Good progress. I find Xtracolours can be sticky and take ages to dry. I only use them occasionally for specific colours. Colin

Christer A
That is so cool! I have no idea if that's "correct" or not though. Did you use Revell colors for everything?
