A great looking Flappy bird!

I've read somewhere that there should be a step between the upper wing glove and the fuselage, but I'm far from being a Tonka expert so I cannot confirm.

Mmmm, those burner cans looks delicious in raw resin!

Can't wait to see what you'll do with them.

That is looking great! excellent progress , those exhausts are really nice - do they add much weight at the back - I see they recommend 40g in the nose , how much more will you need to add ?

40g is round about 5ccm of steel.... I guess that is way too much

gosh Werner you're certainly throwing some AM stuff at her and she is looking very nice!!

I like!

This one builds up quite different to the big brother, mine is a bit simpler and probably the better for it.

Hmm I will have to get one of these model one day...... :D

look what I just found yesterday!

an old (20 years I guess), still analogue photo of mine of a  real world Luftwaffe Tornado doing a full display - in Austria!

Great progress Werner.

And what a find that photo was.

I wish I could see a Tornado that close.

I've only seen one flying very fast over head over Elbe at Otterndorf in Germany.

not too much happened lately,

some small updates only:

DhlCtF7.jpg

that are 40 grams of  M6 nuts, no way they fin into the nose :D and I think way more than needed!

I have 4 of them in.... probably could squeeze in a 5th... but why?

xRIl24r.jpg

wings fully swept, stabs on (nozzles missing)

canopy and seat missing, landing gear missing

the pen is located at close to the COG.. I guess it will be suffucient!

I am using Montey vinyl masks:

Looks Great Werner.

And what a beast the MW-1 dispenser is.

The part on the wing gloves are the Kreuger flaps.

And they were bolted closed very early on the Tornado.

So I guess you can sand it flush, that's what I'm going to do.

landing gear parts are very fiddly--- but sink mark wise look pretty ok on mine

the Aires wheel bay doors look nice, but are horrible for removing the pouring block...
