Marlin
I really like the Revell kit, but it takes some serious work to get it together.... Great progress so far Werner. /Bosse
exdraken
rear cockpit, parts of it at least these Löök parts look rather good.. although/ because there is not awful lot of modelling involved...

Jabba
I agree with you about the intakes, having got mine together over the past couple of days. I have trialled the engine face in the back of them and I don't think that I can see them like you can in yours. Yes the "Look" instrument panels are good, I just wish that the grey did not have that slight sparkle finish on it. Progressing well.

exdraken
front construction: only dry fit as of yet.. you will not the gap at at the bay.. most likely my fault.. but the rest looks quit ok! upper parts are glued of course! by the way, anybody know the correct Revell colors fro the Norm 83 scheme? Blackgreen 40 or gray ? Green 341 green 343? all Revell Instructions I consulted state different mixes....
Christer A
Nice and tidy office there! I can't help with the colors though. I bought a trio of Mission Models paint jars just for this build...
Marlin
Looks great Werner. Sorry can't help you on the Revell colours. I've bought AKAN and Hataka colours to cover my Luftwaffe/Marine needs. /Bosse
exdraken
thanks chaps! Tornado SIG has this here https://www.tornadosig.com/uploads/4/2/0/0/4200523/1424621478.png so I am missing out on Leaf Green FS 34079 but on the same site they also call it FS 34079 Forest Green https://www.tornadosig.com/luftwaffe-camouflage-schemes.html it is also a bit suspicious that the Luftwaffe would mix RAl and FS standard in one scheme... Wrap-around RAL 6003 Olivgrün Wrap-around RAL 7021 Schwarzgrau Wrap-around FS 34079 Forest Green
Christer A
I agree that the mix of RAL colors and one FS Forest green sounds a bit fishy, but this is repeated all over the internet, for everything in Norm-83 that I've seen. That doesn't make it true, I know, but it feasible at least
JayBee
It is true, all Norm 83 schemes of Luftwaffe use FS 34079. In the German instructions it is named "Waldgrün", translated means "Forrest Green" For the Revell Norm 83 Starfighter in 1/72 scale they recommend: RAL 7021 = Revell 09 RAL 6003 = Revell 361 FS 34079 = Revell 363: 90% and Revell 361: 10% Maybe you give it a try. 1

Christer A
That's one pretty cockpit! I'll keep my fingers crossed thatvä it will slide into the rear fuselage with little trouble.
Marlin
Real nice Werner. But, are you doing one without the inflight refueling probe? I can't see that you've drilled the mounting holes for it. Jabba kindly remember it to me yesterday, otherwise I might have missed it. /Bosse

Quickboost gun nozzles by the way Jabba, did not want to mess your thread even more curious if anything can be seen when painted without the cruel screen magnifier
exdraken
so, more on the Brick, Tonka, or Klappdrachen (flick dragon? flap or clap dragon?), as some Germans call it try to do it that way, intakes are glued to the top.. lets see later what I do not see now... anything not working conceptually like this`? hope to get nice (hard to see that is ) joints that way... no glue yet on those, just to see if my sliding techniques still work... 15 hours ago, Christer A said: That's one pretty cockpit! Christer A
Nice one Werner! I've glued a few more things than you, but it seems that the sliding solution is the way to go.

exdraken
snail pace, but you need to take your time.... if not, you loose one of the pylon hinges and have to open the wing again.... ask me but wings are one, and for the time being all works...
Pappy
Great progress Werner, she is starting to look the part now. What is going on with the flap guides on the right wing? They seem to be missing, are you going to replace the kit items with a mote detailed representation? cheers, Pappy

RJ-WobblyHands
Snails pace is good , you are getting a really good fit with the problem areas. I think I am using this GB as the build instructions for my build !
exdraken
moving on Aires nozzles, look like really nice, but not sure if really that much of an improvement... hard to see detail later I guess! swing wing: not sure what to do with the step between wing gloves and upper side of fuselage...
