Good evening

I managed to start my build today , I cut off the nose where I will place the nose resine part

After a few dry test fitting I realised that I will have to use some filler when I will place this resin part

I also startd to prepare the cockpit  I placed the Eduard instrument panel  and some small PE parts on the side walls

Looks good so far.  Is that St. Ex on the cover of the book?  I think was his group, yes?

Good afternoon John

Yes It is St Ex on the cover , he was killed on 31 July 1944 flying the aircraft serial 268223...

Looking forward to this. The Little Prince was one of my kids’ favourite books. And I love a P-38! The Academy kit is reputed to be a good kit, so I hope it works for you.

Regards,

Adrian

Good morning Adrain

Thank you for your comment , I enjoyed reading The Little Prince too when I was a kid ...

I have already built several Academy kits and indeed it is a very beautiful kit and the best at this scale ..

Best Regards

Patrice

That looks great. I don't suppose that is "vert pomme" you have used?

The whole plane is coming together beautifully.

Good evening Tony

I used Humbrol 226 Interior Green but as the photo is taken with a flash the result looks a little too green ..

Thanks. This "pomme vert" referred to by Heller in their instructions is a bit vague. I'm going with Humbrol 78, same as pretty much every interior I've ever done...

Good morning Patrice. Hope you don't mind me following along but the combination of a reconnaissance aircraft and French marking is too nice to resist

Good evening
I realized that I had forgotten to put some weight , so today I worked to repair this omission and succeeded in putting a little lead in the engine nacelles and the nose I hope that this will be enough. I also added a few pieces here and there ..
