Lancia Ferrari F1 D50

Another lockdown completion which I had actually put aside for 6 months, the side panels which are fuel tanks are only held on by flimsy looking photo etch; I couldn't face attempting completing it but I finally bit the bullet last week- and it wasn't that bad after all. These Renaissance kits are fairly fiddly and a bit over engineered but I suppose to be in scale, they have to be fairly fragile. Also have included a page of their catalogue, but this car is the one that has the flash over the picture! Chris.spacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.pngspacer.png

Lovely model and beautifully finished, I like the way Hawthorn is gazing at the delicate machine in front of him.

I built a similar one myself, although I picked the later variant where the fuel tanks were faired into the body, I do like Renaissance kits though, even though they can be a bit fiddly at times.

Thanks for your comments, yes this is quite a rare model now,I think I only have one Renaissance kit in my stash now the Porsche 962 1994 Le Mans winning car. Their accessories are good, not many companies left making bits and stuff for us any more! Chris.
