neil5208
Lovely Whirlwind, shame its development was curtailed by the Air Ministry.

JosephLalor
That's excellent, beautiful job. One of my first thoughts when I saw this thread, was, 'Didn't know Classic Airframes did the Whirlwind', then I remembered that I have the kit! Bell209
That's fabulous! I've often wondered what would have become of the Whirlwind if they'd put Merlins in it instead of Peregrines. Guess we'll never know...

Britman
Really nice model, well done. I wonder if Dowding had let them near the bombers what carnage the may have inflicted, provided they didn't get involved with the German fighters. Anyway they didn't and I think Dowding was right to hold them back in case of invasion where the cannon would have been more useful for ground attack.
