Still inching along…. Summer doesn’t allow as much time for modelling, so I do what I can when I can. I thought I was pretty close to wrapping the turret up but there are a lot of parts left still!

Looks stunning 👍! It's a pity to hide all this beauty.
Interior with many details, with the engine, etc is often more interesting than the exterior. And make him is too more interesting than outside. But tanks have one nasty property that I really don't like - if you make the interior, it is almost invisible. Roofless vehicles such as German self-propelled guns have the upper hand in this case.

Still plugging away, but the end is in sight finally… Need to paint the rest of the detail items then I can close up the turret at last.

This is a really great kit, I just have terrible focus it seems!

Splendid work! The interior looks really good - pity it's so hidden on the inside but an outside interior wouldn't be, well, an interior would it?

That 85mm gun really stands out though an AP through the back of the turret might have been an issue.

It's a pity the allies couldn't have at least up-gunned the Sherman in a similar manner to the Russians' treatment of the T34/76.

Still chugging along on this build, but I’m very close to finishing it up.  My New Year’s resolution is to clear up my backlogged projects, so I’m on my way…

I finished most of the rest of the build yesterday, then added markings and painted the tracks this morning, and started with filters and washes (on the turret at least) this afternoon

It looks very nice indeed, should look amazing when finished...

Seconded. It seems to me that the most important thing in painting a model is to convey the right scale. And you always succeed!

Finishing up the last bits on the tank, I started with adding dirt and mud to the lower hull and then weathered the tracks and installed the roadwheels and tracks.

There were a couple little (literally) details that were bothering me that I could not leave well enough alone.  The first was the taillight:

Finally, the turret hatches needed some extra detailing.  The strap/handles on the inner faces are pretty flat and unconvincing (see last photo in my last set of pics above), so I made my own and am far happier with the result.

At this point, the tank is completely finished and just needs to be mounted on a base.
