Bullbasket
This is Tamiya’s excellent 1/48th T-55 kit, which I’ve backdated and converted into a Tiran 4. The complete build can be found here; I can see some more Tirans for the future. I just need to source a 105mm main gun though. Thanks for looking and all of the encouragement during the build. It's much appreciated. John. 23
PlaStix
Hi John. Hope you and yours are keeping well. I have to say I am not surprised by how good your fantastic Tiran 4 turned out. Your WIP was thoroughly enjoyable and very informative. The final result looks very impressive! Kind regards, Stix
Nenad Ilijic
Wow this is an amazing build! I missed WIP and seeing it now and seeing all the scratch building effort in 1/48 I can only say it's absolutely impressive! Cheers, Nenad
StuartH
Great to see it finished off and can't believe it's in 1/48 with all those details. 👍

Jasper dog
Its finished! Great work John, another belter! Some really nice touches, not wanting to repeat comments from the wip but it's the little details like the mg barrel, headlamp lense and exhaust that really lift it. Pity you can't get figures but all the same it looks tremendous on its base. Cheers Darryl
Ernst
Awesome work and great conversion. Details such as the plumbing set it apart. As said before, you wouldn't say it's a 1/48. If I recall correctly those fuel lines were absent on the esci/italeri and tamiya offerings in 1/35. Cheers, Ernst.

The fuel lines are absent on the Esci and Tamiya kits. It wasn't until we got the offerings from Takom and Miniart that they included the fuel lines.
