JeroenS
OK, with the Bedford build kind of on hold I'll indulge @Hockeyboy76 and start the little wrecker. I have four of these small scale IBG kits, and have already started one of them a while back. I use them for a bit of distraction during larger builds. They are very nice kits. I have no idea how far I will come with this one, but it's all good, it just means I have another one to work on later. I'll make a start with it and see where I end up.
JeroenS
The parts count is not really that low for a small kit, by the way. 3 solid sprues.

JeroenS
Two hours in, we have an engine, wheels and part of the chassis. Little bit of a snag when assembling the chassis, one of the parts was clearly missing pieces of the rod with which it should be connected to the chassis. A small length of styrene solved the minor issue. The chassis. And a nice little engine. Time to grab a bite! I have no idea what's cooking actually (I was excused from cooking this weekend), but it smells nice downstairs 🙂
JeroenS
Continuing with more work on the chassis. I think I can get a couple more hours in tonight.
busnproplinerfan
That’s a wee engine. Surprised this kit has one and the 35th trucks don’t.
JeroenS
OK let's keep it at one hour. I'm done for today 🙂 The chassis has a couple more parts, front and rear suspensions are complete. Did run into some trouble with the front suspension though. These 4 parts are supposed to be 2. But they just fell apart when I looked at them. I tried salvaging the situation, but as you can not see on this photo (because the part this is about is of course out of focus 🙄...) the 2 halves barely touch. The other side was worse, you can just about see the vertical rod there, barely hanging on. So I replaced the rods with 0.4 mm brass rods. Much better. Edit: somehow I forgot to add the pic with the brass rod.... Edited August 31, 2020 by JeroenS Edded missing pic
Hockeyboy76
Looking good so far, I’m taking notes for when I do mine.
busnproplinerfan
They look like the rods to the shocks on top. Just fill the gap with glue, if it's bent a bit, just say it hit a tree stump.

The big advantage of truck modelling 🙂 Anyway I already did the brass rods, forgot to add a picture, which was rectified this morning.
