Death Star II and Star Destroyer ## FINISHED ##

It was 07:00pm by the time I got todays chores out of the way, the most important one being the starting of the Damson Vodka. Once that little lot was out of the way I made a start on assembling the Death Star interior parts.

After one hours work, this is what I had.

And fifteen minutes later I had it primed.

This is how I left things last night with the inner sections assembled and everything primed up. Once we had got back from walking Molly and I had sorted out the weeds on the driveway, I could finally make a start on the first job for today - painting the outer shell of the Death Star.

And here they are after three coats of Lifecolor Light Compass Grey.

I am off shortly to make a start on painting some of the smaller components of the Star Destroyer.

I know that I said I was going off to paint some of the small parts of the Star Destroyer, but I could not resist adding the outer shell to the Death Star first. A bit of filler on some areas where they meet, but I don;t want to do too much, afterall, it is supposed to be under construction.

Having got a coat of paint on some of the parts for the Star Destroyer, I am calling time on this one for today (22:50). With the paint being the same colour as the plastic, it's not that easy to see where I have been with the brush other than those parts painted have a matt finish. See y'all tomorrow for the final push.

I have filled the seams of the outer shell on the Death Star using some Perfect Plastic Putty and wiping them over with a wet finger. I have to touch those in with some more Light Compass Grey.

Then I assembled the Star Destroyer and I've just finished brushing on the second coat of paint, I think that I will give it a final thin coat once I have had something to eat.

And whilst I have a Star Wars theme going, I decided to dig out a project that I had started a little while ago and make an effort to get it finished. I won't be including it in the Blitzbuild though.

There looking good, I may well dig out some of mine for the next BlitzBuild.

I think I have a tiny Revell Millennium Falcon in the stash - Blitzbuild material if ever there was any?

I finished these around 20:45 tonight, adding the engines and then the tiny golf ball shapes to complete the Star Destroyer. I painted over the filler on the Death Star and then brushed a dark grey on the slightly recessed ares of the outer shell.
