Christer A
Perhaps these sets of youtube-videos can be of help for anyone tackling that notorious Revell 1/48 Tonka? https://www.florymodels.org/vlog/2020/6/10/revell-148-tornado-ids-video-build 2
Colin W
Hi Chaps, Im a bit slow off the mark here as I'm still in the process of relocating from Thailand to UK. IT issues have also slowed me down and have not been top priority! I have pictured some of my previous Tornado builds to maybe provide inspiration to others. All were built about 2005 from Italeri kits plus resin to replace the front of the fin and exhausts. Cockpits were Neomega. First up GR1A of 2 Squadron. Photo conversion mods scratch built. Underside showing deleted cannon, Camer fairing and photo window. F3 from 11 Squadron GR4 from 9 Squadron. Hope these help Colin W
128fiddler
I do have some Tornado pictures shot during my modest 16 years spotters carreer, however most from the early years. Just to keep you motivated or your pleasure I hope... Warning! Photo heavy!! The F.3s from the 2007 role demo: On take off: While performing, with ZE168: again FG780 at Florennes: Then at about the same angle but this time F.3 ZE785 from 41 Sqn at Florennes: F.3 ZE341 coded GO from Treble One going during RIAT '10 And returning afterwards: Then when display was still flown on F.3 and GR.4s here's 56 Sqn's Firebird Z812 taxiing at the end of the show: On to some GR.4s, To keep the mind on displays, 15 Sqn's solo display: Here a decorated 31 Sqn Goldstar GR.4 double take off at Florennes, with TIALD. IIRC this has been 'FK' foxy killer Then my subject, ZD740 Dhahran Annie, in a later 14 Sqn warderobe: A 13 Sqn GR.4 with an interesting fueltank camo config taking off from Florennes: Again a 13 Sqn err... or is it 15 Sqn example, but this time reversing at arrival for RIAT '10: The 13 Sqn 90 years special tail: and a 2 Sqn GR.4A with a TIALD pod at Florennes: On to the Italians: The ADV's were gone before I took on photography, but I did get some 36 Stormo IDS's. Both with TIALD, or so it seems! here's MM7013 '36-40' and MM7024 '36-41' One of the first Italians for me was this Piacenza ECR on static at Volkel in 2004: Then an IDS numbered as the Beast, from Ghedi's Devil Stormo, during a squad rotation at Kleine Brogel: and to conclude the Italians, here's a 6th Stormo IDS landing for a Steadfast Noon ex. (Nuke ground drill) in Kleine Brogel: On to the Germans with ECR 4649 in Norm '95: Then a JBG31 Boelcke Norm 81 camo'd IDS 4564 taxiing for a TLP mission, Florennes. Loaded with a Litening pod: Ample Train time!(also a nuke ground drill) JBG33 participated at Volkel with 4611 and 4618, both ex Marine Flieger in norm 87: 4618 with a nice bull's head zap: 4611 starting up the burners while steaming along, this is the particular norm 87D variation with both Norm 78 pylons and '81 camo'd fueltanks/BOZ-101s: Then again Ex Marine Flieger, but this time a JBG32 IDS-T operating out of Lechfeld, here arriving for a small meeting at Beauvechain: Then "again" a Norm 87 ex MF 4544, operated by Buchel's JBG33 at Florennes for a TLP flashing a strobe at us. And finaly to conclude: again 4618. The pilots enthousiastic supporting their National soccer team just before their asses got kicked by the Italians when they last won the soccer world championship: Greetings! So I kicked out the Photobucket links and added a few others along. Hope it's of some use! Edited September 12, 2020 by 128fiddler 3

128fiddler
The norm 95s or still the Marineflieger ones? Iirc from the norm 87, there are at least 4 different shemes with these colours, which makes it very hard yo find full reference on a camo pattern... Anyone who saved those profiles by DonColor for any instance?

At Sea
Italian ADV's with 36° Stromo. Useful to all for weathering of light grey schemes. https://theaviationist.com/2009/03/30/a-day-in-the-life-of-the-36-stormo-of-gioia-del-colle/
