Mark Joyce
Excellent build, Pierpaolo. I like the color you used for the topside, and the weathering underneath is especially well done. Nice little Jeep too! Cheers, Mark
Shark444
...and the proper salmon-coloured primer from the old birdcage models, too! 😉

noelh
I like it......but, but I think maybe you've overdone the weathering and fading.........Oh wait, I don't think you can overdo the weathering on an island based Corsair. 👌 I think it's brilliant. If anything you've underdone the weathering on the propeller. But maybe Poncho tipped his Corsair on it's nose lately. So it's a new prop. Definitely one of my favourite Corsair models. Great stuff.
Pierpaolo
Thank You! @noelhYou are right! prop was changed a few days earlier, "poncho" got a good reprimand Seriously, I should have done at least a few scratches on the prop for uniformity with the rest
noelh
Remember the back of the propeller gets the most weathering, back to bare metal, sometimes on the Corsairs. But Poncho was so careless.😄 I've never bent a prop....sliced a bit of the tip maybe, probably almost certainly. Damm those rabbits.🐇
Mountain Modeler
Wonderful work. I love the salmon color in the wheel wells — how did you make that?
Pierpaolo
Thank You @Mountain Modeler , I've found the recipe of salmon red on a magazine (how to build Tamiya's 1/32 F4U-1 Corsair) : 2 part of XF10 Flat Brown 2 part of XF2 Flat White 1 part of XF4 Yellow Green 1 part of XF7 Flat Red I made a jar that I will also need for the 1/32 Birdcage
