Miss Virginia going low and dirty

Recommended Posts

Hello Gents !!

So, for the ones who know me....

DO NOT expect to peer into the end of the party for these women...

Sorry @LorenSharp but...

Do not expect either about this one....

so-redneck-hillbilly-girl-pistol-jenni-pixl

But let's go to Hailakandi, India in 1943.

Here's my first CBI theatre aircraft

1st Air commando.

For the folks who will react about the weathering... I restrain myself on this one... See

IMG_20200414_233914

The thing that has annoyed me is the streaks on the exhaust smudge...

I put the U/C before varnish for obtaining the right angle...

IMG_20200824_115217

The ICM kit is a dog of a kit, adjustment is nightmarish, now I added a lot of plastic in it

Example, a bulkhead for the radiator...

If you don't like the see through model, it's mandatory...

IMG_20200824_115228

interior has been improved and rectified too.

Basically, the ICM is a copy of the Accurate kit.

But they forget the U/C doors !! 🤬🤬

IMG_20200824_115242 IMG_20200824_115259

The Air commando specialize themselves in CAS mission.

Saying that they operated in rough conditions is clearly an understatement.

IMG_20200824_115401

The payload is usual for them, fuel tanks given the range they have to cover...

And the Bazookas for helping the Chindits...

Bazookas were not liked by the pilots because it generate a great drag, but it has some badly needed punch !

Now, the belly of the dame...

IMG_20200824_115334 IMG_20200824_115341

Paints were Xtracrylics ones

Fuel tanks have been modified as per the pics, who clearly show a difference with the usual Mustangs fuel tanks !

Now on for the family pics.

Hey Bud, it is Hailakandi, The Place where I live it s not so far from Hailakandi In Assam.  Yeah, lots of fighting  inthose days, and Air Battle over Imphal is more or less forgotten. Thanks for sharing

I'm Sorry, I'll correct it on the spot.

I just copied what was on the Microscale sheet.

I did'nt check it out, my bad !

CBI theatre is one my point of interest, so, this kit is not the last one !!

Thank you for the kind words.

The Naughty Corner gives you plenty of space and time for modelling, CC. Looks like a very pleasant rural spot, too.

Not so much in this corner of the world at least. It remains an area of great interest to me. Such a pity it is a difficult area to visit, even before the pangolin pox came calling. Take care over there Tom, you & yours.

No worries, places name can be tricky, North East India is full of History and if one dig up could get some exciting history, I can suggest a FB group which mostly deals on this subject. Regards

You may find this group very interesting
