Rizon
Here a few photos of my home-conversion of the proposed Naval variant of Lockheed’s F-117. The kit is based on the old and not so correct 1/72 kit from Revell. The build progress is shared here: https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235073231-f-117n/ I finished the model in a hypothetical colour scheme based on the current F-35. The concept drawings show the aircraft in the US Naval typical Ghost Grey schemes, but I felt a darker tone is more appropriate for the Nighthawk. The squadron I chose for the aircraft was the now defunct Intruder squadron, VA-185 “Nighthawks”… Comments and criticism welcome J R Edited August 23, 2020 by Rizon
SAT69
I've seen artist renderings that depicted a hugely modified F-117 designed for Navy service. Your model, in my estimation, more accurately depicts the level of changes that would have been applied. Very nicely done!
Vultures1
I really like what you have done to realise a naval F-117. Most convincing and nicely executed - well done!
opus999
That is a really great depiction of this concept! The modifications required were very well done.

Rizon
Adding an Addendum here: I made the decals for the formation lights with “glow-in-the-dark” acrylic paint. First I painted Valejo white base as background and then a few layers of the glow-in the-dark paint. Works reasonably well, except it is hideously difficult to take photos of without a decent camera. Anyway, here my attempt with a phone camera: R Edited August 24, 2020 by Rizon 3
F-32
That's extremely cool work, I've always fancied having a go at making this one but have never been brave enough!

FPDPenguin
That's amazing work! I have an old airfix f117a that I use as a paint mule. I might have to have a look at turning that into a whiff too. 🐧 Edited August 30, 2020 by FPDPenguin
