Vive Les Bleus!...1/24 Talbot Lago T26C

And now for something completely different...
Being usually an aircraft builder and doing from time to time some armour, this is my dad´s first car model since 30 years.
The last one he built was this same Heller kit, now he gave it a new try.
Built oob without any scratchbuilding or improving. The kit is not that bad, but some parts were warped, that´s why it doesn´t stand on all four. Had to cut away some parts of the engine to make other parts fit, therefore the hood is closed. Painted with an altered Tamiya Sky Blue.
A pity there aren´t any modern kits of these classic race cars from the 30ies and 50ies.

Love these 50s Grand Prix cars, I think you can get an Alfa Romeo from the same year too. Very clean build. I think if I was to build one of these, I would consider aftermarket wheels though

Yes, SMER has the Talbot and Alfa, the Alfa was also reboxed by another brand. But they are rather basic kits and show their age.

where is the best place to buy aftermarket wheels? I can only seem to find expensive ones!

Some are expensive, but you can get phot-etch wheels from a few places. Although @Reini78 has done a great job here
