This is something I've not heard of or seen before. Was it perhaps a small test to see who was paying attention? ;) :D  I'd be keen on some more info.

Is is nice to see your collection expanding. Every one of your planes is a little masterpiece. The time and effort you take to research all the individual aircraft is remarkable. I am looking forward to seeing your 112 Squadron Mustang.

Thank you very much Martin.

Yes, that is what we try to do with every model we have done. Probably you could find some mistakes or thing which can do better. We really try to go as far as we can regarding the reaserch. Sometimes we prefer to change the aircraft if we have better information than it cames in the decals sheet. My father hate me when I ask to do it because he must do the code letter from scratch.

The new batch of P51 Mk III are done. Unfortunately I only have photo of two of them.

Dear Santiago,

The latest Mustang IIIs are really impressive. FB328 is my favorite of course but the others are equally perfect. You really took a lot of care in doing your research and it pays off since you got many things right that were sometimes depicted wrong in color profiles and even assembley manuals. 👍 Mustang III KH616 CV J for example has very often been shown with yellow stripes on its wings and white recognition stripes. Since you carefully studied the original photos you probably quickly realized this error. I also like about that particular aircraft that the overpainted Diamond, which used to be the code before the "J" was applied, is visable just like on the picture. 👏 The RAF Mustang units played a vital role both in the ETO and MTO and your fantastic collection is really a nice tribute because you covered so many of them. You and your Dad can really be proud of putting together such a great collection of RAF aircraft. I am looking forward to the Mustang IVs and wish you and your family a happy New Year in Argentina.  Best Regards,

Martin

Hi Martin

Thank you very much for your kindly comments regarding our models.

This is what we always try to do with our models but sometimes there are some details which escape our view. On other occasions  we do not have all the proper information by the moment we built the model.

We always have the full support of historians and people who know much more than us and we try to follow their advice.

Of course, since our models are 1/72 scale there are a lot of details ( weathering, etc) that we decided not to do in order to build more quantity. Our idea is to be able to show the "global" picture. For example, in our current project, the major versions of the P51 during WWII (within our collection´s scope).

Thank you very very much!!. I was thinking about doing the P36 and P40 series soon. I must start the research process first.

Happy New Year for you too Marting

In case of the RAF Mustang IV too much weathering would even be inaccurate from the historical point of view since they only served in the last months of WW2 so they did not show a lot of wear and tear. Given that you made the right choice.

Your Mustang IVs look awesome. I am looking forward to the next models. Do you plan to include a 112 Squadron Mustang IV in your collection as well?
