I'm ex army and used to drive warriors and 432's so used to useing that kit. I don't think most people are aware of what that is, which is understandable. When your in you get so used to some things and in talking a certain way, you forget that civvies might not know what you mean.

With you on that!

Glass is not tinted.

Never too late, I’ve not tinted the glass. Trying to figure a way the cut a couple of masks for the windscreen, so I can maybe show a wiper arc on them.

Windscreen(s) fitted.

Right hand side doors fitted closed, the doors on the left side will be fitted open. Did all that work on the interior, I'll be diddled if I'm covering it up.

Anyway, that's it for today, lots of lilt bits to attach to the roof tomorrow. And then start on the load area at the back.

I'm planning on 'weathering' this build at the end, not something I usually do, so to have a clean windscreen would be a bit daft. So I need to make a mask to cover the glass area where the wipers would wipe, so the rest of the glasswork can be dirty. Have any of you chaps done something similar, if you did, how did you cut the mask to the right shape ?

Greetings fellow Britmodellers.

An interesting day, popped into Bristol to get some paint, and also picked up a Miniart model, an AEC Armoured Car MK 2.  I'm not having much luck with kits at the mo, when I opened the box to check all was well, I quickly discovered all was NOT well. Not a missing sprue (like with the Thunder model) oh no, this time I have a sprue that doesn't belong.

Instead of 'sprue F' I've got a 'sprue Da', which after a bit of delving I discovered belongs to the MK1 kit and not my MK2. Anyway, a quick phone call and a replacement will be waiting for me on Tuesday. I'll be checking that one before I head home, I can assure you.

Anyway, on to things that are going right.

I finished the turret, added some little bits (TES units thanks to @Bish for the education on that one) to the roof, the rear windows, although what possible use they are on the real vehicle, I have no idea. And dry fitted the load area at the back.

Good afternoon.

And so it is finished. I'll post more pictures in RFI.

Thank you to all who followed and all your kind comments. @John_WI've repainted the Gimpy with the correct butt colour. Thanks for the picture.
