Panther V Ausf G Late

Plumbum

Recommended Posts

I am building this with aftermarket Aber barrel, Tamiya single link tracks and Eduard PE grills. I am

using the scheme on the box, ambush camo for tank turret number 301 of the 9th Pz Div. I will use

the commander figure and maybe get 2 more for the driver and front gunner.---John

Looks a nice little project, tag along if I may.

Difficult to beat Tamiya for a well engineered kit that hopefully shouldn't present too many issues!

Thanks, my favorites in order are Konigstiger, Panther V, then Tiger 1. I like the

old early Shermans but there is just something about German armor, IT'S COOL!

The barrel is assembled and glued to the turret.---John

The PE grills came in from Australia today. I have them on and just need to

add the 4 rectangular grates over them.---John

Apologies to Johnv for hijacking his thread but I am doing this kit and stumbled on this very problem. Tamiya give you 4, Aber two, some references give 4, some 2 etc. Was there a set rule? Or is it definitely 2. (My very old copy of Achtung Panzer has 2 and I remember that was supposed to be reliable.)

It could have been something to do with the fuel tanks.
But sorry, that is just guess from memory.

No worries and thanks for your help. This was supposed to be one of those quick easy and cheap builds. But as it's progressed I've had to spend more on upgrades, do a lot of research and probably invest in a few more reference books. Bloomin' Germans and their complicated tanks.😀
