Orso
When I was building my 1914 car I learned that the hexagon under the turret hatch was a repair of the turret when a cupola was removed. I reckoned that a 1920 model would not have this hexagon plate either so I removed it and built a new hatch. Then I had a look at the marking options in the kit. There is no option for a 1920 car. All three is from the WW2 era so now I have to find a 1920 scheme for it or use a spare turret roof with the hexagon and build it from WW2. I might as well start on the third Rolls Royce in the stash. Another 1/72 scale kit from Roden I don't like the tarps moulded to the top of the boxes. I will remove and replace them. As I have to make some surgery to the boxes I will also replace the tools.
Orso
After a long hesitation I settled for green. since I used my converted turret roof and making it easy for myself using the kit decals it will probably be a little wrong.
Orso
Started to paint the 1942 car. As I decided on the british green car I starten om a small thing to put on the base with it. Some scrap parts and plastic strips gave me this. Not big, just under one inch high.
Orso
This will be the base for one of the cars. A coat of semi gloss clear has been applied on the 1914 and 1920 cars. Work slowly goes on.

Orso
Next coat of paint. Masking this isn't fun in this scale.
Orso
I finally managed to get the third coat of paint on. Now it is time for the nerve wrecking point when it is time to remove the masking tape. To my relief it wasn't a total disaster hiding under the tape. Touch up's are needed but not as much as I thought.
