PhantomBigStu
Started an airfix spit this afternoon, and will be picking up an airfix Emil tommorow. Just waiting on a host decision re the Emil whether deviating from the accepted depiction (as photos proved inconclusive) is ok. Stew Dapple
Sorry Stu, I didn't think you were serious about wanting a mod's decision on that Emil scheme; as you note the photo was not conclusive so if you interpret the scheme as 70/71 over 65 - as EagleCals do - you are perfectly entitled to build it that way Cheers, Stew 1
PhantomBigStu
Cheers Stew, will be seeing it later after I've been out on my bike and visited a certain local model shop, spits all assembled, have yet to pick the particular airframe edit: could have paired it with an academy kit, but none of the decal options enticed me Edited August 14, 2020 by PhantomBigStu
PhantomBigStu
Assembled today, and of course then discovered I’m short of 2 of the 3 external colours unless I want to use different shades of RLM vs previous builds
PhantomBigStu
As per the title and post in the ju88 thread now a trio, fortunately I’ve also managed to find/acquire the colours so I shall be able to paint both without ordering any, icm kit

Cheers, Stew Currently 😀, with another spit in the stash, and an eye on an Arma Hurri can’t rule out a 4 or 5 ship appearance if the ju88 goes well
PhantomBigStu
109s are all sanded alongside the ju88, just waiting for an auction to end as to whether I’ll stick with the Revell RLM65 or switch to XA for the final coat. Likewise finally put some decals on the spit and defiant Edited September 9, 2020 by PhantomBigStu

PhantomBigStu
Probably should stop updating the progress of these in the ju88 thread, here they are ready for masking to be removed, the blue cleaned up, and attention has to turn to the mottling for one of them 🥶 Edited September 26, 2020 by PhantomBigStu
