Kinetic 1/48 Harrier T8

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

This is my kit for this groupbuild

Will be making it in the markings as pictured on the box and will be adding a Eduard PE set for the cockpit.

Read somewhere that there were some adjustments to be made on the wings, can someone help me were to find the adjustments?

Thanks!

Looks like this thread contains all the known issues. Posts 15 and 16 by NG899 and Pappy respectively address the wing dogtooth issue.

Looks like it's a great kit with just a few minor issues, most of which sound easily fixable or they're so minor that only the most eagle eyed experts would notice them. Having said that, it reads like the ordnance might be quite a let down.

Good luck with your build and I'll keep an eye on how you get on as I have an FRS1 to tackle soon.

Good luck with your build Lexx, I built one of these a couple of years ago and found it "interesting" at times.

Don't forget to fit the LP compressor fan for the Pegasus as the instructions completely miss it out.

If it's anything like the Sea Harrier that I'm currently wrestling with, that won't be ALL the instructions miss out - fitting the wing assembly?, drilling location holes? etc etc.!  Go carefully!!!!

I love the look of the two-seater Harriers and the shiny black suits it beautifully :coolio:

Someone once told me that the black was adopted as a hi-viz scheme.  I'm not sure if that's true?

Cheers

That’s true Cliff, apparently it is easier to see than the old Raspberry Ripple scheme, although slightly more boring.

Great work @Lex77

And this one is done! Last bits and pieces were glued on today. Somehow during the build the canopy got a scratch but as I glued it closed I won't be fixing it.
