Typhoon undercarriage

I'm toying with building this gear up.

Am I right in thinking there'd  be a roughly triangular gap at the landing gear strut pivot end in the closed doors with the pivot (hinge bit?) visible from outside?

Can't find any telling pics online regarding door/hinge detail.

TIA

Tom

Thanks, Both,

Dale, I've seen that pic before and have been hoping for a better shot of what would be visible through the hole.

Still, I'm sure I can concoct something plausible.

I'd surmise the 20mm aren't fitted

No 20mm but carrying bombs?

The Typhoon in the photo is R8830 EL-U, on loan from 181 Sqn to A&AEE for low-level bombing trials, in March 1943.  I suspect the cannon had been removed as they were on a separate charge to the airframe and the squadron needed to retain them as 20mm cannon were still in short supply.
