cmatthewbacon
If you've got 50-odd minutes to spare, you won't find a better masterclass in 1:1 automotive design and engineering than this lengthy guided walkaround of the the new T.50 "hyper-GT" from Gordon Murray. Harry Metcalf is a knowledgeable car guy himself, but this is really Gordon Murray introducing his masterpiece. He never takes pot-shots, but you do end up wondering how much of what McLaren, Lamborghini and Ferrari are doing is just "styling" rather than design... OK, so it costs the best part of £2.5mm., but as Gordon says, for the 100 people who are buying it, it's objectively a better car than the Mclaren F.1 at an 80% discount on what one of those would set you back these days... best, M.
Schwarz-Brot
Wow. Finally again a supercar that isn't just a bag of jokes. I am not really sold on the styling with the fan, but I do absolutely love the approach and the way Murray sells it. This is some serious engineering and really showing off the love for that. I absolutely love the see-through tunnel and that enginge is gorgeous. Cosworth have done some serious work there. I really was sold the moment he started speaking wheel sizes and metal over carbon. Thank you for sharing. I'm a teen again and want to hang posters over my bed!
keefr22
Thanks for sharing the video M, great watch! I'm subscribed to Harry's Garage but somehow missed it! Mr Murray really is a brilliant designer and also has a great taste in cars as witnessed by his Mk1 Escort he got Retropower to build (also a great Youtube video series!)
