The Spadgent
Evening you lot. I managed a little more on the Blenheim today. 🤩 The canopy got the final piece in place. not sure yet whether I should just paint the frame line or add strip? If I add a plastic add strip I’ll have to paint it first then stick it on. 🤔🤔🤔 hmmm while I ponder that I carried on with this lovely aeroplane. Chiseled away the plastic detail getting ready for the PE set. The wall section is drying as I post this. And the PE on this part is just ruddy ridiculous, either that or my eyes and fingers are failing me.😶 That compass is made from three separate pieces. 😱 Thats all for now. It is the way of the multi build. 🥳🧐 Johnny

And I think the Falcon vac replacement probably wouldn't fit, as the FROG kit for which it's designed is a little wider on the nose. Regards, Adrian I tried a Falcon vac replacement, hoping it would fit. It didn't.😪

Will you display the canopy sliding section in the open position? It would be lovely seeing all the added detail inside.

Oh the horror. 😱 I might have done had I known there was a sliding section. 🤣 let me guess it was on the side where I hadn’t fixed. She’s all glued in now so it’s doubtful. I always get ze info too late. 🤣🤣🤣 Thanks though. 1

Hamden
FYI the sliding section is in the centre of the top of the canopy, it slides backwards onto the fuselarge roof The bit between your finger and thumb in this picture, Hope this makes sense Roger 3

The Spadgent
Hey guys. sorry for the radio silence over the past week or two. I don’t know what’s going on but I just don’t seem to find the time to get to the bench. I had a few days away camping with my son. ‘twas Lovely. That on top of work commitments has made the grotto a tough place to find time for. But I need to so I have done a small update to the threads hoping for more this weekend. There was a few bits more done to the PE. And I decided not to use this part as the bending made it seem sloppy so I made my own. And put it in place. this lot needs some paint so the other builds need to be bought up so I can do them at the same time. While thinking about masking the canopy I got this email. “ Dear Sir Thank you for your inquiry, we will endeavour to resolve as soon as possible. Our spares colleague will contact you when we can confirm the replacement parts have been dispatched. Thank you for your patience. Kind regards Hornby Spares Team “ Now I’m not sure if that’s progress or more fob off? We shall see. I’m going to run with what I have for now. Keep everything crossed for more bench time over the weekend. Thanks for being patient. Johnny.

The Spadgent
Hey guys. Hope you’re having a splendid weekend. I decided to confront the elephant in the room. Slowly I’m masking this ruddy greenhouse.😱 it’s a bit awkward having it in one piece like this but with a little patience. And a very gentle touch. She’s getting done. The scratch parts were a bit nervy. 😯 But eventually it’s done. I had planned to paint then fit. (Why I don’t know🤔 Doing lots of builds at once is really messing with my thought process. So the plan is to finish the internals. Pop the glazing on and paint as per normal. 😇 So some P.E got added. And a spot of paint. A Little more PE then a top coat and some weathering and this thing can start moving. Thanks for dropping in. More in the week. Johnny greenhouse.

Marklo
Thirded ( have to be careful wit the spelling ) I’ve started using my Bostik self adhesive foil after seeing the technique on YouTube, it confirms better than tape and it’s much easier to cut than tape, it’s also much cheaper, I got a 50m roll for less than a tenner. 1
