The Spadgent
Morning guys hope you’re having a lovely weekend? small progress. She’s ready for paint. ❤️ She’s too tiny for the clips so I used cocktail sticks only usually employed for wheels. primer!! 🙌😯 And I know I’m mad but dare I say. pre-shade. Just trying to get some variation. I think it’s worked. 🙌 not sure of the colour as there are actually no call out so the instructions???? What the? Here’s the prop. I’ll have a look for schemes. any ideas? Motelling will be frowned upon. 🤣 thanks for dropping by. all the best and Happy Modelling. Tim R-T-C
Nice work so far. As for paint - you can have it in any colour so long as its green! Although there are some variations including a darker green in Chinese service and some camo schemes for post-civil-war Spanish examples. I don't think the Soviets went in for motelling but some would have carried a patchy winter camo I'm sure.

Lewis95
Quite inspiring. These 1/144 scale models seem to be quite the trick for a time-barren modeller! Once I clear the current 2 builds, I may just have a look at some 1/144 kits. On a side note, these little beggars are sods to dogfight against in IL-2. Always able to outmanouver my 109 and usually shoot me down! Deceptive but cool aircraft.

The Spadgent
Hope you all had a great weekend. As promised this little bird is the only kit I’m working on that actually got colour. Even though I forgot to mask. 🙈 So before I could begin I had to mask off the belly. For scale my thumb. 🤣 even though it looks easy I had to mask the tiny curved demarcation line. First pass. And then another one and she’s done. 🤩 The masking has been removed and she has been gloss coated ready for pilot paint and decals. 😇❤️ More soon. Take care chums. Johnny boy.

Nikolay Polyakov
The kit looks excellent even if doesn’t like the 144th scale. But you’re nailed it and now this little bird is amazing. 👏 My grandfather used flew them in the Flight School back in the 40s. 1
Marklo
I happened to open the box of my I-16 a few days ago and even in 1/48th it’s twinchy. I’d be seriously worried about inhaling yours
