That looks grand so far John! Especially as it is in 1:72. Nice details and sharp look over all. and a very relaxing one for the afterwork evening with a beer on the couch, arm chair etc. Cheers Edited September 6, 2020 by bbudde 2
Lewis95
Fab little build! Are you going to populate the stretcher pods per chance? A railway figure with a blanket over it maybe?

The Spadgent
Hey. Sorry for the Lack of updates. I went camping. Boys in the wild!!! 🤪 Work has been keeping me away from the bench also but I managed to get some time today. I must say with four builds on the go I’m finding it hard fo focus but it’s fun none the less. any hoo here’s the tank with re instated mid rim and a spot of primer. I need to build the struts for this to sit on as it’s not part of this kit. Here is a paper template. With a little cutting and some punch action. We are here. Seems about right. poping it together you get the shape. And the rear brackets got made. A quick dry fit. 🤩 I need to make the panels for the name and the stars and bars too. I can then get this into the booth with everything else. 🤩 The pipe got cleaned up and drilled. Blades got a tidy. And the main rotor head got assembled. Yay. It’s great to be back in the cave. 🤩🤩🤩 more over the weekend. Take care guys. Johnny 18

TheyJammedKenny!
Nice!!! That's some really fiddly fabrication on the fuel tank holders. Really enjoy seeing this come together so well. Hope the camping trip was a blast!

The Spadgent
Hope you all had a great weekend. I managed to get some plastic action after some 1:1 scale garden work. I had to dismantle our old shed. Kind of anti modelling. 🤪 Going. Going! Gone. 💪 And after that there’s this. 🚁 I fabricated the backing plates for the Mash name and the stars and bars. I used The sticky parts of a post it on some plastic card. Then cut to shape with the name plates and filled to take off the rough edges. Then I got everything into the booth. Pretty much everything needed a pure shade. Rotor head. The new tank. (Really Happy with that)🤗 And.... well all the other bits. I’m not sure I’m doing this multi build thing right. I think you’re meant to do one until bored then do some of the other one. I’m kind of doing them all at the same time at the same pace. It’s fun but really hard to focus. Right more on the other builds. Thanks for popping in. I’ll try and get more done over the week. Johnny.
CedB
Nice work Johnny, especially that tank and supports. Great stuff I'm finding 'multi-modelling' a bit weird too… so easy to avoid the hard jobs. I think I'll stick to single builds in the future TBH.
giemme
What's a "pure shade", anyway? And more importantly, are you going to replace that shed? Seriously, can I ask what the baking plates are for? I'm not clear about them (and I know nothing about choppers in general, and this one in particular ... ) Ciao

It’s fun but really hard to focus. I tend to either do bits on a couple of models at once or focus on a single build. ATM I’m moving the Taube, the Hind, the Seabee and the Moskito along equally ( more or less) as my aim is to get the latter three in the spray booth at the same time for primer and preshading. Then I’ll probably focus on the hind a bit as it needs to be finished for the GB, That said I could take a vaguery and go do something completely different I’d the mood takes me. Remember if you’re enjoying it you’re doing it right. Edited September 22, 2020 by Marklo 1

I’m glad I’m not the only one finding it a bit overwhelming. It’s a bit like Netflix or Spotify. So much choice I end up choosing nothing (madness). I think it’s a case of knuckle down and write a “to do” list, 😍 I know you love a good list. 😇🤓 On 9/22/2020 at 9:15 AM, giemme said: What's a "pure shade", anyway? It’ll all come clear in thrr Ed next few posts. 😇 On 9/22/2020 at 10:25 AM, Marklo said: I tend to either do bits on a couple of models at once or focus on a single build. The Spadgent
Just a small mid week update. The tank got paint. As did the other bits and bobs. Looking for mash choppers they’re all different with different tanks and colours so I’m running with my choices. Even in the show some have doors and some don’t. Gah!!🤨 I’m going for white rotors. Not pure white but not green. This little beauty will come together rather fast I should think. more soon. JJ.

The Spadgent
Hey you lot. a little more done on this little beauty. the rotor head had a spot of red added and a top coat. In fact everything got a top coat getting ready for decals and weathering. I think I have already done this bit on the main part. It does feel a bit like I’m going round in circles. 🤨🤪 The tank got an accent cap too. ❤️ decals and sticking next. Thanks for popping by. Hope you’re having a great weekend. Johnny roundabout.

Derek Bradshaw
I'm really enjoying this build Johnny and the kit is pretty impressive considering its scale (makes me want to seek out a larger scale version for my needs). well done Derek
