I have some trade for you over Maidstone

Recommended Posts

I'm more at home in the armour or the diorama section, but every now and again I build an aircraft or 2. The insignia on both builds are done using paint masks, both aircraft were washed with flory grime.

be gentle,

I'm in awe at the way you reproduced the flaming smoking engine! Oil leaking from the left engine. Bullet holes in the wings. Pilot about to bail out. Most impressive diorama!

Love it. Really like the way the Spit is banked over, gives a real sense of movement and speed.

i had seen a few builds on the net with LEDs and cotton wool, I thought I’d have a go.

Fantastic diorama, great work, this is very impressive indeed.

Thanks bigbadbadge,

i’m Really impressed how it’s all turned out, I was lucky the Spitfire didn’t hold in her original position.

Thanks Graham,

I’m really pleased that she didn’t stick in her original position, with a bit of fettling I got the control surfaces to the position of a left bank.

Thanks Vince,

the angles on the first 2 is definitely the effect I was after, probably should have made some sort of cloud background?

Smashing work, Ozzy. Very imaginative and excellently presented. Perhaps post it in the diorama forum as well to maybe show it to a wider audience.

Thanks ijs302,

i’m normally an armour modeller, I mostly build as part of group builds or down in the Diorama section. I think next year I may build a few more aircraft.

Really spectacular work there!

You have everything going on that really draws on the emotions.

Apart from the sound of gunfire & engines it needs a soundtrack & in my humble opinion the only one would be this.

Wow Clive,

That's superb. Brilliant composition, I found myself making sound effects.

If I were that pilot I wouldn't be bailing out just yet. I wouldn't fancy being sliced to pieces by the Spit's prop.

Thanks Badder,

ive been expanding my repertoire thought I'd dabble on the dark side, I've been planning it for a while and am happy the metal rod has held the spitfire up.

Ozzy..............if I was in that 110, I`d be bailing out too.  Very nicely done especially with armor being your primary skill set.  I like the way it turned out!!!! :goodjob:

Excellent diorama, this must of been as much of an exercise in engineering as modelling. Love the pilot trying to bail out :)

Thanks Mike,

having asked a few questions on panel lines etc, there are a number of transferable skills. Looking forward to building a few more aircraft.

Thanks Woody,

yep initially it was mainly engineering to fit the pole and workout the lighting and motors, it was nice to add a new dimension to my building.
