canberraman Posted July 29, 2020 Share Posted July 29, 2020 Excellent news for RAF Mildenhall, those that work there and the many enthusiasts that visit there to see some of the most varied aircraft visitors in the UK. While you are right, there can really be little option for the tankers to stay at Mildenhall. I was given a figure of the amount a fuel tankerage they have there and its pretty large. They cannot take off at Max weight, they need a longer runway for that or have to tank after departure. Ours are the same.
