I was lucky enough to see an OV-1D do an aerobatic display in 1982 at Ft. Huachuca Az. Best maneuver was a hammerhead stall turn. Really cool!:pilot: Thanks for sharing the pictures!! They are wonderful!

Those first 3 photos should give someone a colour matching heart attack I reckon. :) I'm rather interested in the short stubby looking thing under the outer wing on 25902 with the airscoop underneath, I'm guessing that isn't the IF counter measures pod.

She's a pig-ugly piece of cobbled-together junk, but there's something about it ^_^

Mike, you really, really need to learn how to form an opinion. I'm sure the Mohawk's Mum loved him very much....

Errmm.... The Tomcat was also produced by Grumman and that is still one of the best looking fighters in history. Each to their own, I guess.....

Chris.

Just to clarify - I love every Grumman plane :D - Wildcat, Hellcat, Tigercat, Bearcat, Panther, Cougar, Tiger, Tracer, Tracker, Intruder, Tomcat, Hawkeye, and all the others,  and also the Mohawk. It's a sterling pedigree! :D

Cheers :bye:

Hi, Hans.

Now I have re-read your post, I can see it was written to be positive and not a criticism. My "bad" - I will learn not to jump to quick conclusions, some day.

Cheers.

Chris.
