FPDPenguin
Hey all. The what if section is new to me. But I love the idea. I have a gloster meteor that I use to practice things on, and I decided to have a bit of a kit bash on it the other day. Well here it is. An airfix 1/72 gloster meteor, with some bits on to make a 'ram jet' I have a new airbrush so decided I'd test out doing Luftwaffe camo. Then I remembered I have some finnish markings for a polikarpov. I haven't weathered it yet, or sorted out a landing gear. First attempt at doing this kind of camo. I punctured random holes in thick tinfoil, like the kind you get for backing trays. And used that as a stencil. I'll add a few more pictures when I weather it and sort out the landing gear. Thanks for looking 🐧
2996 Victor
Great concept, and I love the tin foil stencil idea for mottled camouflage! Brilliant! Cheers, Mark
wellsprop
That's an impressive engine, I wonder what the pitching moment would be like when power is applied! Great work

alt-92
Aerodynamically, I'd suggest vertical endplates on the tail. Stability in any direction is going to be......interesting
