Arabic writing from etihad airways

Recommended Posts

Hello guys, im currently trying to create my own decal set since its hard to find here in Brazil and importing will take too long. I choose to do the etihad 787-9 but im stuck on that arabic type writing bellow the windows. Do someone know what is written there and what language is that? If you have any high resolution pic of this specific part and can share with me, will help a lot.

Best wishes!

It looks like a stylised form of the Arabic for "Etihad". (I think it means United).

 َإتحاد

Nice looking livery - Landor design I think.

I love that Ed,...... `United',....... especially as Manchester City are sponsored by them and play at the Etihad Stadium,...... their rivals,.....Manchester United,...... must be having a proper old chuckle!!

All the best mate

If you have a smartphone, install Google Translate app on it. Then use the phone's camera from within that app--it will translate from almost any language in real time, giving you superimposed text over the live camera view. Very handy!

Had an idea and went to  their website. Their slogan is 'The World Is Our Home, You Are Our Guest'.

That could be it. But more likely as Ed says 'From Abu Dhabi to the world' as that's  mentioned too.

Maybe - it's very stylised.

العالم بيتنا ، أنت ضيفنا

No - I think my first approximation above is right.

I tried the smartphone method - it translated as "Do not umpteen backwards eight tin-opener" Do you think it could be that?

Thanks for the tips! My biggest problem now is recreate this in a good quality.

What I would do it is load the picture into Photoshop, cut off the excess and then rotate, de-skew and re-scale it to restore the perspective and aspect ratio. Then convert it to a much higher resolution and clean it up and make it sharp. (Or, if you're good with Illustrator, convert it to a vector image and do some cleanup there instead.)

Here is a good starting point.

Alternatively, find the Arabic font which is close enough and simply use it to recreate the phrase as an image by using the Type tool.

and the actual font here

:spoon:Good luck with it - I want to see finished result!

Scaler x, I will try to make the vector in illustrator and see how it looks. Thanks!

Somewhere in China there is an airliner with that written in English on the side of the fuselage...
