Dermo245
Hi all and here's a tribute to those great days of 1980s TV. Built for the Helicopters/Vertical Lift/Autogyro GB here on the forum. The short build thread is here but to recap: Kit: Italeri 017 AH-6 Night Fox built as a civilian MD-500 Build: OOB with seat belts from Tamiya tape and rear seat bench from plasticard. Paints: Halfords grey primer, Tamiya Pink primer, Revell Acrylics with an airbrush. Klear and a small wash Extras: 3g weight in the floor, part of the tail boom replaced with sprue after glue damage. Main rotor blades pinned with wire for a stronger fit. Was a fun build and makes a change from grey or camo schemes. But wow, is a tiny kit! Booty003
Proper trip down memory lane!! Quality little build, you've done a great job of that. I love the shape of the MD-500, just like a sports car of the skies!
Pat C
Love it!! - you got a 1/72 Ferrari 308 to go with it? Pat
TonyOD
Really like that. But if you could model Tom Selleck’s moustache in 1/72 scale I’d be even more impressed. 😉

busnproplinerfan
That’s tiny, well done. I have the 1/24 I want to do this with.

Bell209
I always liked that scheme - there were two MD helos running around Oahu doing sightseeing runs when my wife and I were there a couple of years ago. One of our favourite TV shows of all time. You've done a lovely job on this tiny subject.
kapam
Always loved the Hughes 500 and its relatives! Very happy to see it in civilian guise too - the way I've seen most such 'copters in operation. You've done a fine job! Yes, I can picture how small this must be in 1/72!
