Bengalensis
Here is Michèle Mouton's 1985 Pikes Peak winning Audi S1 quattro, or Sport quattro, setting a new record time as well. I hold her performance up the mountain that year in very high regard, and it feels good to have this model finished, at last. The base for the model is a 1/24 scale resin transkit from Scale Production, mastered by KEN in Japan, and a shortened Tamiya Audi quattro chassis. The transkit came with wheels and decals for Rallye Monte Carlo and Tour de Corse, so to create the Pikes Peak car I have drawn and printed several new decals, modified some BBS wheels and 3D-printed suitable tyres. The WIP-thread can be visited here.

johnlambert
Lovely work, the model looks great and that's a nice backdrop for your photo shoot. I remember the first time I saw a rally-prepared Sport Quattro in action, the whistle and whoosh of the turbo and wastegate was quite something. I enjoyed your work-in-progress thread too.

Mr Mansfield
Some really nice details & decals are perfect! I know it’s a photo backdrop, but I’d like to think that you really have that Lotus Europa behind the door

Many thanks, glad you liked the work. I've been thinking about this backdrop for a while, but didn't get anything done until now. Yes, the sound when the quattros appeared was something very special. Yes, it's a photo backdrop, but yes I do actually have that Lotus Europa in there 😎 It's one of the ingredients of my workshop behind my house, I just used some photos I took the other day to make it printable in size.
