corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Here I'm again with a broken promise... Following our Dear guest from the outer space... Oh Dear @Martian, you asked numerous time for a vet here in Britmodeloonies.... You can call @Mike, I found a well educated one, Up to Mike to hire him !! I think that He's able to help us... At least the ones who volunteer for.... For my own, my lunacy is really pleasant to me... See... Well !! That's done !! Here's the first beastie... Chimay at the ready ?? Checked !! Let's go ! I have to thank @rob Lyttle for this one, we had a fine swap... In fact, I knew about Airfix Canberras, but I did'nt know that the B-57 has been issued too... I hesitated a bit in choosing the version, but Decision made... I used to have this one in my attic... Sooo this one it will be, now the 1/72 Italeri one will go for sale or swap !! Since I now have a 1/48 one Then I always enjoyed the sinister aspect of the B-57G... And I'm found of night intruders... A look at the sprue I checked the dimensions of the Airfix nose and it's quite anemic... So I will order 2 Alley cat kits... The B-57G and the T 17... For the TT 18, I'll look for a Classic Airframe one or it will be an Airfis one plus another Alley cat kit !! 3 Cranberries ?? It's not enough for a jam... But... Lord, That's a lot of an aeroplane.... Well Gents, I'll bring at least these 3 beast for SMW 2021 !! Save the TT 18, my 2 other choices are not really streamlined... I've had a beer buzz in an airshow with the crew of this one... Who said "Astonishing" ??? And the kit wait for me at my LHS... Now it's time to gather some pics... These 2 are usefull since the front cockpit is about the same, even for the -G The rear cockpit is quite different indeed, Here's a Pic from a -B Purely indicative... Well Gents, It's official, I'm crazy !! Huh, for the one who wonder about Venus... It's just because @72modeler and me are labelled as residents of the naughty corner... And our Dear tentacled one exiled us on Venus... As far as possible... In this galaxy... What about creating something like the country of Oz... After all, it all start the same manner.... See you later Gents !! And take care !! Sincerely. CC Hey ! @Christer A, see... Still a serial starter Huh ?? 16 1
72modeler
CC, My favorite version of the Canberra! By the time you knock back that enormous schooner of Chimay, you might need to switch to 1/32 scale, as your vision has got to be u/s! Those were great cockpit photos- thanks for sharing them! I'll be watching the builds with great anticipation and interest- there's no such thing as an ugly Canberra! Mike 1
71chally
Definitely looking forward to seeing your Classic Airframes Canberra being built, the other two I would turn into that gloopy glue that @perdu uses. I'm sure you will do these kits proud with lots of detail and corrective surgery CC!
Christer A
It seems that you're still very much the serial kitstarter of old, @corsaircorpeven though this is bordering on parallel kitstarter! Have fun with that trio!
rob Lyttle
Good luck with this, or these I should say, CC. 👍 Nice workable plastic from Airfix. The rudder can be tamed easily, and I even shaved a few dings in the tip tanks to add a bit of wear. I believe the sensor pod underneath can be trouble...... Too narrow?? But all the spare nosecones are useful. Here's my Johnson Kleer pot, for example ..... 😎 4 1
Space Ranger
The Corps of Space Rangers will be monitoring this alarming development in the Solar System's balance of plastic power. But wait. Won't plastic melt on Venus? I mean, it's hotter there than a Texas summer! First Mars, now Venus! Sheesh! We have here another Texan and we find the way to keep the rocket fuel fresh and tasty !! So, no danger for the plastic... Then, it's the nasty corner.... Welcome aboard... rob Lyttle
@Space Ranger that pot is the Airfix "big ugly nose" that's supplied for the Vietnam version! As featured on the box art. 3 nose options means that you get 2 free pots 😎

Biggles87
The T17 was my favourite mark of Cranberry so I’ll follow if I may. I made one many years ago in 1/72 using the old Airfix kit and a resin conversion, can’t remember what happened to it. John 1

Pete in Lincs
I never worked on Canberra's. But I was once told that the T.17 nose was the ECM pod from the back of a Vulcan. And, CC, in my beer fridge I have some 1/2 ltr bottles of Jever Pilsner. It's rather nice.
corsaircorp
Pilsner !! Well, how can I tell it... I'm unable to drink Pils of any sorts... It really make me sick...And I start playing a kind of mini Etna.... That's why I turned myself on brown or dark strong beers !! If I drink a Stella or a Juplier, I'll burp it for 2 days at last.... I'm sorry, but I hope that you'll enjoy it... It's all for you... I'have had a good Tripel Karmeliet today... Yesterday it was my Dear Blue Chimay... Sincerely. Lord Riot
These look interesting, I love to see Canberras. The T17s look good to me, but then all Canberras do. My favourite has to be the TT18 though. I have two 1/48 Airfix Canberras to build, one of which will be a TT18, but I can't find the right 100 sqn decals anywhere! 1
