Old Viper Tester
Rhinos of the 457th Tac Fighter Squadron, 301st Tac Fighter Wing, Air Force Reserve at Carswell AFB, March 1990. Just a quick visit to the USAF side of the base between meetings at General Dynamics and catching a flight back to Edwards. Not the best lighting, mostly nose on, couldn't quite get the exposure right. 68-0340 68-0342 68-0390 68-0391 68-0392 68-0447 68-0449 66-0450 68-0452 68-0497 68-0511 68-0532 68-0447 68-0449 68-0450 68-0452 Thanks for looking, Sven 13

Corsairfoxfouruncle
Im just going to pop a @72modeler in here as these are Texan 6 shooter Phantoms. Since they're jets from Texas he should like them.

72modeler
@Corsairfoxfouruncle Dennis, Thanks for the heads-up! Those are pretty Lone Star Rhinos and -0392 is especially sweet! Nice, but they can't hold a candle to our SA-based F-16's when it comes to markings! I even have a decal sheet with the C.O's Viper! Don't mess with Texas! (Can't get used to calling it Joint Base Ft. Worth, as it will always be Carswell AAF to me, as my late farther flew out of it when he was a B-29 navigator in WW2) Mike http://www.aeroresource.co.uk/operational-reports/the-gunfighters-of-the-texas-ang/ https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/182d_Fighter_Squadron#/media/File:182d_Fighter_Squadron_General_Dynamics_F-16C_Block_30F_Fighting_Falcon_87-255.jpg https://kochstour.com/2011/09/29/this-is-why-you-dont-mess-with-texas-happy-65th-anniversary-to-the-usafs-149th-fighter-wing/ BTW @Old Viper Tester Sven, thank you for sharing the TX ANG Rhino photos- sure do miss seeing and hearing them flying in and out of Kelly back in the day!
