PhantomBigStu
Here is something I spent the last few months working on, 1/72 BBMF flight 4 ship, which I've done my best using photos to represent the real things. First up, Airfix Spitfire MkIIa kit to represent P7350, which wore Eric Lock EB-G markings from 2011-2017, no modifications other than using a spinner from a Mkv as P7350 is longer then an original DH unit. Decals are from the Airfix BBMF set and was painted with Humbrol 29/90/163 and finished with Winsor and Newton Matt varnish. Second Revell Hurricane IIc to represent PZ865 which wore Jimmy Whalen (but wrong) EG-S markings from 2012-2019, again no modifications, decals a mix of Airfix, Xtradecal and the noseart is home printed. Painted with Humbrol 29/47/163, Xtracrlyix Medium Sea Grey and finished with Winsor and Newton Matt varnish. Third Heller Spitfire MkVb to represent AB910 which wore Jan Zumbach RF-D markings from 2007-2013, a few modifications, added armoured external canopy onto the Eduard MkIX canopy as the naff Heller canopy didn't fit over the pilot, also the prop and exhausts come from Eduard. Painted with Hum90, Xtracrylix MSG, Ocean Grey and Vallejo 888 Olive Grey. Decals from Revell and Home printed serials. Finished with W&N Matt Finally the big one, Airfix Lancaster BI as PA474 in its KC-A Thumper MkIII Guise it wore from 2012-2017. Basic Airfix kit though added the post war cabin heater and fuselage aerials, and omitted kit aerials not fitted to PA474. Painted with Humbrol 33, Vallejo 888 and Xtracrylix Dark Earth. Decals from the Airfix BBMF Set. Finished with W&N Matt Edited July 14, 2020 by PhantomBigStu
SAT69
I like it! Did you design and make the stand? It looks like an original design (not mass produced), hence my question.

No, its an airfix one, which was available for sale for a while as well bundled as part of certain gifts sets like the battle of Britain 75th set from which this came from, if I had the means to design a stand I would do something much better, and I might still make something custom for the lanc, not happy with the mounting, and that way I can try and add the other spits (Already have the other hurricane in diecast) Edited July 14, 2020 by PhantomBigStu
