Joss 998
Hi guys, I was wondering how compatible ak real 'color' is with standard acrylics. I.e. can I spray it over say standard water based acrylic or will it crack? When I bought them, when they first came out, I was under the impression that they were normal acrylics but the smell and further research suggests otherwise! Many thanks in advance Joss
bmwh548 276
They're lacquers and yes you can spray them over water/alcohol based acrylics, just make sure that everything is bone dry and use thin coats.

What would be a good thinner for this paint? I have both Tamiya and Mr Hobby, would either be compatible?
bmwh548 276
I use Leveling thinner normally. Sometimes I use standard automotive lacquer thinner.
