mitchem
I'll be honest. I didn't know who Bob Kershaw was until I bought the kit. For those of you who may be in a similar boat, here's his story : The Arma Hobby Hurricane Mk.1 Expert Set came with the markings for Bob Kershaw's Hurricane, and I couldn't resist the temptation. What can I say? It's a Hurricane by Arma Hobby - Great kit and a very enjoyable building experience. Now I'm desperately trying to avoid buying the Arma Hobby Yak1b ! Thanks for looking. Time to head back. mike

And you do great work building it. Excellent model and I appreciate the background historical bit. The things I learn here at BM!

kapam
Well, now I know who Bob Kershaw was too. Much appreciated. 👍 A first class build! Astonishing skills! Is the spinning prop real or some sort of photography trick? Just brilliant! 👏

mitchem
Many thanks for the kind words - much appreciated. On 7/10/2020 at 5:49 PM, Alpha Delta 210 said: I love the spinning prop! The prop is actually spinning thanks to some slide fit brass microtube and my daughter's deft use of the wife's hairdryer. (Who says modelling can't be fun for the whole family? 😀). I managed to pull the same stunt with a recent Lancaster build, but now clubmates have made it quite clear that they won't be impressed until I build a Shackleton! (They're a tough bunch to please - must have something to do with the water on their side of the river 😆) On 7/10/2020 at 11:09 PM, keefr22 said: About time too....!! Airliners on their way (at last !) mike 1
Eric Mc
Brilliant model - and I love the spinning prop. Although expect the pilot or ground crew might be hauled into the CO's office for running up the engines with no one in the cockpit.

Perhaps the mechanic is very, very short...or was leaning well forward, to examine the rudder pedals, when the picture was taken. 😜
