Really liking that Tony. I have a couple of Italeri Sunderlands as well as the SH Mk.V too. Won't be starting either until I re-find some patience!

Thanks mate,..... the Italeri kit is a relatively easy build and I`ve just started a Mk.I to build a pre war overall silver one!

Brilliant work Tony

My dad flew in Sunderlands during the latter stages of the war so please accept thanks from our family for a lovely memento of a great warplane.

Cheers.

Thank you very much indeed and massive respect to your Dad,..... I`ve learned a lot about men like him while researching this model and what a breed they were.

A thing of beauty Tony! Don't see many Sunderlands built for display, particularly in post war livery, and yours looks fantastic.

Excellent stuff, Tony!

Easier than the SH/MPM Hudson, or about the same?

Mike.

Cheers Mike,..... re the Hudson,..... about the same but on a much bigger scale!

Thanks ever so much Mark,...... I`m trying to find a place in my cabinet for it now to sit alongside my Mk.II! I have to take something out,.....and I cannot decide what!

Cheers

Very nice result indeed. But I am not surprised :)

The look of this mk V is inspiring. This year I did Sunderland Mk I and Empire, maybe one day I should do the late variant too...Not soon for sure, though.

Hi Tony,

I've been lurking in the background since you started this watching for my own build later on.

You've made a wonderful job of this despite everything it through at you.

Beautiful finish.

Cheers,

Alistair

Thank you J-W,..... the finished model is well worth the effort and it is nice to have a Mk.5 in the collection at last. I have an overall silver Mk.I underway now, to go with my Mk.II & 5!

Fantatic build. You've achieved a great finish to a deceptively simple scheme. Great stuff!

Thanks mate, glad you like it,.... these old Sunderland`s did get quite dirty which helps to liven up the scheme.

Looks exactly the way I would expect a seaplane to look from operating off the water. Excellent engine exhaust presentation. Very well done.

Thanks mate,..... I wanted the well used look but without making it look derelict like many tend to do and for it to at least look serviceable!
