Corsairfoxfouruncle
Hello Ant... from Chicago USA. It all depends on your budget but an Iwata Neo is fairly inexpensive and I use a generic compressor, all in it cost about $120 dollars or £95. If thats too much there are plenty of Chinese knockoffs with compressors floating on the web for cheaper. Start with a mid size needle of .4 or bigger until your used to paint mixing, something like this but with a bigger needle if you can find one. https://www.ebay.com/itm/1-5HP-Airbrush-Compressor-Kit-Multi-purpose-Dual-Action-Tattoo-Nail-Art-Design-/324018308976?_trksid=p2385738.m4383.l4275.c10 I have no connections just using it as an example. Then you can get another A/B with smaller needle for finer work once you've got the hang of it. Dennis

Corsairfoxfouruncle
The cheaper ones can be, though if you look around theres a couple of options. Get a compressor with a decent sized reservoir to hold a lot of air. The big reservoir means the compressor only runs when the air is low in the reservoir. Though Iwata compressors and some others do make silent or very quiet compressors. Though they can be a bit pricey.
