Decided to make a start on this one whilst waiting for other stuff to arive.

I still keep forgetting to thin my paints down, so thats why the stand looks funny.

Decided to try out a spray can of primer, rather than using a brush - forgot how much that stuff stinks lol

Wasn't impressed with it at all tbh. Was more than likely me, but seemed very runny. As it's drying though it seems to be ok.

Any tips on using this stuff appreciated :)

I use Hycote acrylic primer. White or grey. Bought from the bay it's a reasonable price and I haven't had any problems with it.

Spray a thin coat from at least 6 to 9 inches away. Clean the model first though, a damp cloth would do on a U boat.

Thanks, it was a can of armypainter grey - only thing that was in the shop at time.

It did actually dry ok in the end.

 

First attempt at using an airbrush (so will probably go wrong)

Cheers. I might give that one a try once my local store opens up again.

Got a feeling it may be staying shut though :(
