Dave_R
Hi All, To go with my Hurricane I have Eduards Bf 109 E-4. With a base and some figures this be a counterpart to my Hurricane build. Dave. Edited July 5, 2020 by Dave_R
Tim Moff
will follow along as I have an Eduard 1/48 E4.
Dave_R
Hi All, I'm going to press on with this build for a while, here's is the progress I've made so far. Fairly straightforward so far - the engine cowling etc. could be a bit tricky though. Dave.
Steve 1602
Very neat work on the cockpit. I’ll watch this with interest as I have the Eduard Bf 109E dual-combo boxing on back order.

Dave_R
Hi All, Most of the construction is done. The engine cowling panels were a bit tricky to fit. I ended up removing the engine, I only put it in to hold up the propeller. I had similar problems with the Eduard FW 190. Dave.

Greg Law
Yes, I had trouble with the cowling panels. It depends on what kit you have. The earlier kits don't mention the fact that you have to shave the top front part of the engine off a bit and leave some of the guns ammo shuts off. The later kits instructions show this. Eg the Bf 109E-7. You also leave out the engine brackets.

Dave_R
Hi All, Now with yellow tips. The yellow has gone on a bit thick - but that's what it needed to stop it being translucent. So the main painting is done - next undercarriage. Dave.
Stew Dapple
Yellow can be a real dog to get a decent coverage with, but you've got that, nice job Cheers, Stew
Dave_R
Hi All, I've been off-line for 20 days, but I'm back with a much faster broadband and a bit of backlog of photos to upload. The sharp eyed will notice that the Carpet Monster has eaten the right wing MG, so I'll have to buy brass ones, make one or rob an Airfix 109. Dave. Dave_R
Hi All, I've also been making a base for this. The figures are Eduard and ICM. Dave.
